​The Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) is a decentralized governance and finance platform that de-risks transactions through improved transparency and accountability to address donors' concerns in three ways:

• Contract-driven results-oriented governance that can be customized for regenerative project portfolios throughout the Sahel & Africa
• Decentralized collaboration framework to clarify roles, improve multi-stakeholder engagement and maximize beneficial outcomes of regenerative project portfolio parameters including scope, schedule, and budget
• Enhanced transparency and auditability to underpin GGW DAO’s dynamic management platform, ensuring context-relevant intervention strategies

Stakeholders in the GGW DAO include the Sahel Region Farming Cooperatives and Ministries for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Women Affairs; African Union Great Green Wall Initiative; UNCCD Great Green Wall Accelerator; and Impact Donors & Investors, including Equity Bank and Rockefeller Foundation.
